The Cement Factory by Barcelona based architects Ricardo Bofill is absolutely stunning - no other word for it - this structure was, as the name suggests an old cement factory - it now functions as the architects studio - A compendium of surrealist elements; paradoxical stairs that climb to nowhere, the absurdity of certain elements that hang over voids, compelling but useless spaces of strange proportion but magical because of their tension and disproportion - this brutal man-made landscape is juxtaposed beautifully with eucalyptus, palms, olive trees and cypresses which engulf its exterior - a truly amazing project - Take your time to explore this and other projects on Bofill’s website (via Yatzer)
One of my favorite buildings ever
